Citing the ruler as Sanaʾ al-Dawla on the obverse field, and Yinal Tegin on the reverse margin. Within a circle; above, sword; below, bow and arrow; in the margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-fals bi al-Īlāq sana arbaʿ wa arbaʿa [miʾa]’ (‘In the name of Allah. This fals was struck in Ilaq in the year 404’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing Ahmad ibn ʿAli as Qutb al-Dawla Khan, ‘li-llāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh / Quṭb al-Dawla / Khan’ (‘To Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Qutb al-Dawla Khan’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘mimmā amara bihī al-amīr al-umarāʾ Muḥammad ibn ‘Alī mawlā amīr al-muʾminīn Yināl-Tikīn’ (‘From that ordered by the amir of amirs, Muhammad ibn ‘Ali, vassal of the Commander of the Believers, Yinal Tegin’ in Arabic).
